A Decade-Long Journey from Developer to Visionary Entrepreneur
With a pioneering spirit dating back to 1995, Alex Vandereycken began his remarkable journey as a developer at ASQ. However, it was in 1998 that his path took a turn when he encountered Navision. Inspired by the possibilities of this innovative technology, Alex transitioned to Computer Support (IBM), taking the first steps in this global market ERP player for Mid Market.
In 2001, Alex took the leap to join Helios-IT as co-owner. What started as an ambitious initiative grew into an organization with international projects in just seven years, strengthened by various strategic acquisitions. The growth of Helios-IT culminated in 2008 when the company, with 100 dedicated professionals, was incorporated into NORRIQ.
In 2015, Alex Vandereycken joined forces with co-founder Peter to launch Scapta, a company with a sharp focus on cloud/SaaS projects and the development of apps for Appsource. The dynamic duo aimed to provide cutting-edge solutions and played a crucial role in the sale of Scaptify, an integration app for Business Central and Shopify (B2C), to Microsoft in 2022.
As a visionary leader, Alex is now responsible for the overall strategy and daily operations of iCtrl and companies. His tasks include not only steering the company in terms of sales and marketing but also defining the course for future growth and innovation. Recently, he announced the launch of Scaptify Plus (B2B), with the first implementations scheduled to go live in the United States on January 1, 2024.

In 2015, Peter Moerman collaborated with co-founder Alex to establish Scapta, a company with a distinct focus on cloud/SaaS projects and the development of apps for Appsource. This dynamic partnership aimed to deliver cutting-edge solutions, playing a pivotal role in the 2022 sale of Scaptify, an integration app for Business Central and Shopify (B2C), to Microsoft.
Peter played a pivotal role in steering the company towards ISO 27001 certification, demonstrating his commitment to information security and operational excellence. Through meticulous planning and implementation, he guided the organization in achieving the stringent standards set by ISO 27001, ensuring a robust information security management system.
